Something doesn’t add up- update: didn’t now it does
There are little hints in the font used in the sticker on the filter, some slightly low quality printing on the instructions and the box. Then there’s the taste. Original filters pour out fantastic water. These still have chlorine taste. Maybe it’s just quality going bad or maybe it’s not a real original. Not sure what to do because every single version of the filter seems to have badly performing examplesUPDATE. Filter works well. It did take longer for the taste to disappear than usual but it did

Must Needed Purchase
My refrigerator needs the air and water filter replaced every six months. If you buy directly from Kenmore, they are double the cost of this seller. It is a great deal and I highly recommend them for you and your family. However, they are NOT easy to install – or maybe it’s just my refrigerator.

Read reviews before buying
I have gotten filters for my fridge out of Amazon before so I didn’t read the reviews. I started the installation process and since I have done so many times in the past it was easy but once that I try to pour water nothing came up. I check on the filter and nothing. So I went to Amazon to try to reach out seller to ask for suggestions but it turns out you can’t contact seller. Since it’s a two pack I try the other one and that one work perfectly right away. I contacted Amazon to see it I can get a replacement for the damage one since the other was already installed and working fine but I was told that I needed to return both or contact manufacturer. I contacted manufacturer but I did not get any answers. I’m so annoyed at this whole situation. I’m just keeping at this point because I don’t have the time to go dropped both filter to an Amazon return center and then wait for another delivery that might have 2 working filters or maybe it will be the same situation as I’m not the only person reporting this issue. I advise you to get from other seller or directly from the manufacturer

This is the 2nd if not 3rd time we have bought this same water filter and have never experienced any issues with any of them (fit, leaks, unsealed at delivery).The filter came sealed in plastic and in a product box. It is made in Mexico which is clearly stated on the box and in the paper insert.

Fit perfectly in my kenmore 79572034110 french door fridge. Water measures out at 10 PPM after filter change using a zero water tester so its not the MOST CLEAN filtered water, tastes alright. Good for the price. Will probably look for a better filter after these expire.

1 of the 2 filters is defective
I recommend opening both filters upon arrival!The order arrived quickly and the packaging was in good shape. However the 1st filter I opened was defective; I didn’t notice the defect prior to inserting the filter and following the directions to flush the filter. It wasn’t until the following day when I realize that refrigerator was full of water because the filter was defective. I included a photo- note one filter is missing a black gasket. The top part of the defective filter is loose and moves around- it should not (this is not apparent from the photo). I will be spending my morning cleaning up water and asking the seller for a replacement filter.UPDATED-I received my replacement order – the filters are defective as well!!! Uugggh
