Quality product
I only buy this brand for my refrigerator water filters. They are the only ones that claim they take out pharmaceuticals that might be in the water.

Great water filters
The item works well! The price was the best price I could find for this filter. I have used the GE filter for years. I tried the other comparable brands and even though they are less expensive, they do not filter as well and do not last as long so I had to change the filter more frequently.

Beware!
One of the three filters received leaked badly, but since I was waiting for the existing filter to reach its replacement indicator light I had not installed a new filter until today when the old filter called for replacement. However, the allowed time between order and problem was just a month, and I have exceeded that time by a few days I can neither request a return or a replacement. Just a warning to those purchasing. In all the years I’ve used these filters none has ever failed before so the product appears to be of high quality even though one has now failed. Would it be possible to extend the notification of failure to today??? Thanks for your consideration.Ed

Last longer and allow more flow than generic
We’ve tried several, less expensive, 3rd party branded filters and noticed the water flow was greatly restricted which adversely effected not just water from the door but ice creation. Those filters also did not last more than a couple months before the flow became a trickle and needed replacement. I understand some people believe that high water flow equates to less cleaning, however, the filters all make the same claims re what they clean and I find our water and ice to be more clear (never any floating debris like we’ve seen with some other filters), never smell and taste better with these ge branded filters. IMO, the higher up front cost is overcome by how long these last – not to mention the better performance.

Horrible water taste from “NEW” GE Brand filter!!
Bought in March,2023, as I had installed my last Glacier Water Filter! At the time, there seem to be a sale on the ‘original’ GE water filters, and so I bought them, knowing I would be replacing my old filter sometime in August! Well, my filter light on my refrigerator came on, so I changed to the ‘New’ GE filter, on August 8th! As I have been using the filter water system for years. I usually overdo the filtering of water through the new filter, to make sure all air and any particles are out of the new filter, about 2+ gallons!On the first day, I noticed a strange taste to the water! First, I thought it was my immigration, but my wife, also noticed the change in the taste of our water! I never said anything to her until she said that the water tasted bad! After a week or so, the taste was still there, I decided to change the filter, as I had 2 more filters to uses! When opening another ‘new’ filter, I noticed on the back of the packaging box, a date of 2013! 10 years old?? The 3 package filters looked faded, lettering and box itself looked old, but I thought nothing of it, at the time, had not checked date on the 1st package filter! Maybe, that is why they were on sale to begin with!! Never ordering from this company, again!! I know it’s beyond the return date, but I felt it is important to the consumer that these things can happen! Should have checked the date when I received them in March 2023!! Never had a probably like this in my many years with Amazon.com!! Not a good method of getting rid of “OLD” INVENTORY!!P.S. Even my cat, Monty, wouldn’t drink the water, and that is all he will drink is water, had to give him bottled water, ever since! Is that telling you and ME something????

Misleading! These are not Genuine GE
Beware! The product I received misleadingly represents itself as genuine GE MWF water filters but they are not. I have been purchasing the single filters for a while now but came across the 3-pack for a really great price. The price is so good, in fact, I should have known right then something was up.My city water isn’t terrible, but the chlorine taste is enough that I don’t enjoy drinking it. Immediately, I noticed the chlorine taste. I knew pretty quickly what the culprit was. I ordered the more expensive single filter and was surprised how stark the difference was between the two now having them both hand in hand. The genuine even noticeably weighs more.I can’t say as to how well either filter actually performs, but I can say that the taste difference when it comes to chlorine content is extremely noticeable, and for that reason, I will be paying extra money for the actual genuine filters. It is one thing to sell off-brand filters for less money, and I get that, but I feel mislead by this product and I imagine others who may not have chlorine in their water to notice they are being duped may feel the same way.

Terrible filters…they made my water taste like plastic
I installed one of these filters easily and drained off water as normal. However the horrible taste has not gone away. I am ordering a new filter from GE direct. They cost more, but I want clean water. These are going in the trash. Don’t waste your money like I did!

Clean,Clear and great tasting water!
These genuine GE filters are the best on the market for my refrigerator. Truthfully, I love the clean taste and purification of the water I get from these filters. Great tasting ice cubes too! Never received a faulty filter and they really do a great job in purification of the well water coming into the fridge.

Didn’t work – looked fake
Ordered the 3 pack…One had the connector so badly warped that it would not fit on.The other two screwed on correctly, but would not let water flow.we put the old one on, and it worked fine again, so definitely the problem is these new filters.Faded and blurry lettering on the out side of filters make them look like fake knock offs.

Bitter/Sour taste
Please beware of these 3 packs. I bought one in January. After about a month the water started to taste bitter and sour. I changed the filter two more times and again the water started to taste sour. It sneaks up on you. I didn’t realize it for months until one of my guests pointed it out. I compared it to bottled water and the taste difference was shocking. I just bought a 1 pack for $50 and the water from that filter tastes almost sweet in comparison.

Beware Knock Off Filter
Used two of these filters over the course of 3 months and the water continued to have a chlorine/metallic taste worse than the Tap. We then purchased a GE filter from Lowe’s and the chlorine/metallic taste was not present with the GE filter from Lowe’s. The labeling on the filters is noticeably different as well.
