Second purchase and does not fit
I bought this filter over a year ago and it fit perfectly. Recently purchased to replace the old filter and It does not fit and now jy fridge is leaking! Same product as last time, what gives?!

Filter is good
I have been using this filter since 4 years and never had any problem.very easy to install and by the way I don’t drink water from the refrigerator so can’t comment on the taste and color of water

It doesn’t fit
Although the box and the filter look exactly like prior filters, it would not fit. The nubs on it were either too thick or were already damaged, as now after we have tried to twist it into place, we see the plastic on the nubs is damaged (misformed). We tried to file off the rough pieces, to no avail. Since I had this by the refrigerator, waiting for the filter light to come on, I probably can’t return it now. It was marked as New, but it had a sticker on top of a sticker on the package. Perhaps it was returned once before?

Not a 3 pack.
The one filter that I did recieve was exactly the same as the original that came with my Kenmore Elite. There was no leakage or dirtiness from the water as stated in some other reviews, they probably didn’t read the instructions or know that some gray or blackness is normal due to the carbon element in the filter which clears after running some water through the system.

OVERALL RATING IS ACTUALLY ZERO — Returning the items…they could not be installed
We bough two of the same type KENMORE Elite water filters (Kenmore ADQ73613402) . Both filers were the exact size and model number of the existing filter that we were replacing, but neither of the filters could be installed. The installation of this filter is easy, you just twist and pull out the old one and push and twist in the new one. We’ve replaced the filter before and know how easy it can be. However, neither of the filters we purchase through Amazon would allow for this ease of installation. They look like the real deal, but don’t work.They are being returned and we will order direct from Sears/Kenmore.

Damaged packaging
Item came in a soft package so box was damaged. But I was not concerned until I saw that the inner packaging was torn open ( looked intentional, not from shipping)I still used it and it seems fine so far.

I buys these instead of others because they filter out more.
Read the label on the filter you purchase! Some filter out very little. In particular, if you are on well water, you need your filter to work for cysts as well.

Same filter that came with my Side-by-Side.
The filters are the same that came with my new Kenmore Side-by-Side. That’s significate because I could not get them at Sears Parts.com. They are easy to change out. They seal up with no leaks. They filter all my drinking water. I find them more reasonable on price.

Filter doesn’t fit
We have bought these filters many times in the past with no problems. The 2 we bought this time were a bit gray rather than pure white and you could tell that the nozzle was slightly longer than the nozzle on the old filter we took out. Because of the nozzle length difference, there was no way that it would turn and click into place. I see many others are having the same problem. I would advise to buy only one at a time, and open and check it immediately because you will need to return it within 30 days or be out your money. Even though we bought through the Kenmore store on Amazon, they don’t care to back up their product if you don’t return within the 30 day return period. For this reason and because it was difficult to reach Kenmore customer service, I will likely avoid purchasing appliances from Kenmore in the future.

Had to use old O-rings
I previously ordered this item and it worked fine, so I ordered two this time. Neither of them fit until I transfered the O-rings from my old filter to the new filter. (Quality control issue?)Since quality control may be out of the seller’s control, I only deducted two stars.

Quality control issues
Had purchased five times prior with no issues, but the last two filters I bought for redundancy are faulty. One does not twist on beyond 10 degrees and the second reserve screws on but leaks profusely. I put on a compatible alternate brand and it works perfectly

I have bought this 6 times from this seller and the most recent purchase, it did not fit. I am disappointed. Money wasted and couldn’t return it because I bought it for storage just in case. Who would have known after buying consistently that they’d screw me over and send me one that doesn’t fit.

Vastly superior product
Made the mistake of using another, cheaper brand ONCE. I’ve been using this one EXCLUSIVELY since then in our Samsung frig. Water has a clean, great taste, without any pieces of plastic floating around in it (unlike the other brand). They say, you get what you pay for, and this is the perfect example of it. God only knows what crap that other filter let through…in addition to the white plastic pieces it put in all on its own.

Water tastes great and you want to drink it from the fridge rather than buying bottled water.
Extremely easy to install! My son was visiting us soon after I had replaced the filter and he noticed great water flavor. Since he does not buy bottled water, he will switch at his home to this Kenmore filter for his fridge.

Something changed!
I reordered the same filter model that we have used since owning this frig and something is different. Even though the sticker on the filter looks the same as last one, but will not click into place, it’s unusable. Both of us tried, and neither had success. I will need to return. I still need a filter, but not sure if I should look for a difference source?

What changed???
Bought one last year and it fit, but just bought from the exact same link and the filter won’t fit. When holding the two filters side by side, you can see that the new one is about 1 mm longer on the smallest diameter section of the tip. Incredibly small difference but apparently it makes a difference.
