Does what it needs to do
There isn’t much to be said about this product. It’s not designed for packaging , fun factor, or anything like that. It’s supposed to help clear up your water from unwanted chemicals and it seems to do that. I’m no scientist or chemist, but I do notice a difference in taste in the water I get from my mother’s refrigerator which is why I bought this for and as this review is titled, it does what it needs to do.Good for the cost and does the job. I’d buy them again.

This works but you can’t follow refriferator instructions
This filter works, but it’s difficult to put in and remove for my refrigerator. The instructions for my refrigerator says to turn the filter to the left 1/4 turn so that the visible line is vertical and then remove and replace in vertical line position and then turn 1/t turn to the right so it’s horizontal. this is not possible. the line stays in the vertical position. it is not possible to turn it to the right 1/4 turn. but it WORKS and it doesn’t leak. It’s just harder to put in and take out.

We always get our Kenmore Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter through Amazon. This particular item is very much compatible with our refrigerator and it’s very easy to install. Defective
I have purchased and used this product before. It’s easy to install. However, this particular item is defective. Leaks as soon as it is installed. I purchased it to replace my current filter when needed. One week past return date. Had I known it was defective I would have returned immediately.I’m hesitant to purchase again from Amazon. I will go directly to website where I expect to purchase item that doesn’t leak

Good water filter
I have been purchasing this model water filter for my Kenmore frig for about 8 years and the quality has not diminished. It is easy to install and the water taste is perfect. This is not an after market product, thus the price is a few dollars more than some others. However, paying a slightly higher price for a known and proven product is worth it to me. I will continue to purchase these filters and recommend them.

Inferior product
I should have read these reviews. i put mine in (Aug 2019) and had trouble with it leaking. I thought i had it ok. October i noticed a puddle in front of the refrigerator. Water was dripping out of the front. I took it out, checked the o rings, put it back in. Again seemed to be ok. 2 weeks ago I stepped on the floor and it didn’t seem right. Spongey feeling (floor is Pergo square tiles) I pushed the seams and water came up. Checking the filter again it was leaking & dripping under the refrigerator into the defrost pan. Since it cant evaporate fast enough it has been running under the refrigerator & into the floorI took it out so that solved the problem but now I have to replace the floor. All the seams are swollenAmazon should ban this sellerUPDATEi purchased one from Kenmore More $ but now i know what happened. i couldnt get the Kenmore one to go in. Called Kenmore and they said this is the one. So i tried again but really pushed it in. It went and was able to lock it in. No leaks. The ‘o” rings on the one from this seller were not the correct size. I remember it going in very easy. With ‘O’ rings the wrong size it allowed water to seep around the stem & into the housing & subsequently onto the floor

Item is same as previously order – no fit!
I’ve previously order this item in the past but this one doesn’t fit and can’t return and presently unavailable to reorder! They have changed the fitting at the top slightly so it won’t connect and can’t return after 30 days so I’m out $55.00 !!! Such a disappoint!

Leaks as soon as it’s installed
I saw a large puddle on the floor as I finished flushing the filter. Never got a chance to taste the water as I had to remove the filter to stop the water flow. I’ve installed probably 10 replacement filters before without issues.Installed on a Kenmore 106-51552103 Side by side. Don’t waste your time or money.

Defective product
This filter was in a Kenmore box and the number matched our refrigerator but it must have been a knock off product – NOT the genuine Kenmore product ….we just tried to replace the filter in our fridge and it WOULD NOT FIT!!! Not sure where this item was made but it was apparently not a true Kenmore item. We would like our money back and would be happy to ship this defective product back.(We have since ordered directly from Kenmore and it fit perfectly)

Not the right size, buy from different seller!!
This product did not fit my fridge despite it saying it was the right product for my fridge. I returned the product over a month ago and was notified that the product was received, but I never received a refund. The seller has not communicated with me as to why there is a delay with the refund and at this point I’m not sure I will receive a refund. Save yourself time and money and order from a different seller!!!!

NOT the SAME
We have been ordering this same product for years ,but this time it is NOT the Same. The water taste horrible! We actually ordered two at the same time. We installed one and tried it for a few days hoping the taste would get better, but it didn’t. We then installed the second one, thinking maybe the first one was defective, but it was just as bad. This can not be the same product that we have been ordering for years. The water always tasted great with the old ones. BUYER BEWARE! We just wasted a lot of money.
