These are original MWF GE water filters
I purchased a 2 pack GE “smart” MWF water filter from Amazon to replace mine for my GE Refrigerator. I was very pleased when they arrived. Because it turned out these are the original “genuine” GE water filters that you get with your new appliance as opposed to the replacement ones purchased from other companies🤗

Good Filter
With this filter my fridge water is very clear.I had the biggest problem trying to get it in, which probably wasn’t the fault of the filter but the fridge. There was no arrow to line up the arrow on filter. I put old one back in easy enough then marked how it came out. It took awhile but my water is Great!

Do not work
Had 3 genuine GE MWF filters and NOT ONE WORKED. Appliance repair company said all 3 were faulty. Called GE which refused to stand behind them- no refund nor attempt to solve problem. Never buying GE ever again

Not Real GE filters
I thought these were real GE filters because of the Logo, but I think someone refurbished some old GE filters as there are black soot smudges all over the filter. I’ve never noticed this issue with GE filters so I’m returning. If this is the case this is quite scary and dangerous. In the future I’m just going to be safe and buy from a real GE filter seller, Amazon is too unregulated to be trusted for filtering drinking water.

False Advertising
Description AND invoice state this is a 2 pack. Only received one filter. Contacted seller and was told it is a misprint. They offered free return and I will return it even though it is inconvenient for me. Disappointed.

Knockoffs
These did not work with our refrigerator even though they say they are the actual filters. Not authentic. Be careful when purchasing filters. Lots of knockoffs out there. Pay close attention to the MWF lettering on your original and compare it to the ones you are getting.
